Hill of Angels by Augustë Volskytë

The hill of Angels - Angelu Kalva
A student from the school in Raundondvaris explained us the story of the hill of angels, here you can read the text she wrote for us.

"Now we are going to the hill of angels which was founded by two women hoping
to bring their little town called "Uzûgiriai" richness and prosperity. They started carving angel statues out of wood and building them on the hill in 2009. The hill was opened a year later, after many other people built their own statues simbolizing something from their lives. For instance, an orphan built a statue representing an orphan angel. Right now the site has more than
30 carved angels, each simbolizing a value in life. For example, belief, friendship, money. People usually bring small carved angels with their wishes written on them and hang these symbols on the big angels hoping that their wishes come true one day. But as we don´t have those angels, we can just hug the statue that simbolizes something we wish instead."
